サムスンがAppleよりも優勢とされる主な理由は同社がAppleより「多くのセグメントで活動している」ことで、そのおかげで同社は「Appleよりも多くのシェアを獲得」できると、Mawston氏はReutersに対して述べている。

「iPhone Mini」の登場は近いのだろうか。調査会社Strategy Analyticsでエグゼクティブディレクターを務めるNeil Mawston氏は近いとみている。その理由は何だろうか。
サムスンがスマートフォン戦争の明らかな勝者となり、Appleは後を追う立場にある。しかも、2013年にはその差が拡大するかもしれない。
Mawston氏は米CNETに提供したデータに基づいて、2013年にはサムスンがスマートフォン市場の33％を獲得すると予想しており、これは2012年の推定シェア31％よりも増えることになる。一方、Appleのシェアは2012年の20％から21％に微増するという。また、サムスンは2013年に2億9000万台ものスマートフォンを販売する可能性があるが、Appleの「iPhone」の予想販売台数は1億8000万台となっている。
サムスンがAppleよりも優勢とされる主な理由は同社がAppleより「多くのセグメントで活動している」ことで、そのおかげで同社は「Appleよりも多くのシェアを獲得」できると、Mawston氏はReutersに対して述べている。
Appleは反撃に出るため、Mawston氏がiPhone Miniと呼ぶ小型で廉価版のiPhoneを発売して、多数の消費者を引きつけようとするかもしれない。

1980年代前半から半ばにかけて大学生の必読書とされていた『解放前後史の認識』（ハンギル社）、同書に対する右派的対応として2006年に出版された『解放前後史の再認識』（以下『再認識』）＝チェッセサン社＝に続き、韓国社会を新たなパラダイムで読み解く本が登場した。『脱冷戦史の認識』（ハンギル社）だ。80年代前半に大学に通った「解前史世代」を主軸に、16人の中道保守・進歩系の学者が執筆に参加した。韓国大統領選挙の熱気が高まった先月19日、本書の執筆の中心となった金皓起（キム・ホギ）延世大学社会学科教授、張勲（チャン・フン）中央大学政治国際学科教授、康元沢（カン・ウォンテク）ソウル大学政治外交学部教授、パク・インヒ梨花女子大学国際学部教授の4人が一堂に会した。
4人が『脱冷戦史』執筆を決意したのは、2012年現在の韓国社会の起源を追跡しようという取り組みからだった。「『解前史』の執筆者は、ほとんどが1960年代に大学に入った研究者で、『再認識』の主軸は70年代に大学に入った研究者だ。21世紀の韓国社会が抱える問題の起源をきちんと分析するには、第三の代案的視点が必要だった。90年代前後に、韓国社会の調整原理は近代性（産業化プラス民主化）から世界性に移った」（金皓起教授）という。
■脱冷戦・世界化が分析のキーワード
成長動力の危機、社会の二極化、家族の解体、個人主義、非正規雇用の増加、そして2008年の米国発金融危機などは、いずれも1990年代の世界化から20年の間に起こった事件だ。ここで韓国国内に目を向けると、盧泰愚（ノ・テウ）政権時代の3党合同（統一民主党・民主正義党・新民主共和党の保守系3党が合流し民主自由党を結成。民主自由党は現在の与党セヌリ党の前身の一つ）は、韓国の政治体制を権威主義から本格的な民主体制に移行させ、韓国は現在その基盤の上にあるというのが本書の前提だ。「これまでの世界化分析は、善しあしを問うものが多かった。一方で、世界化がどのように受け入れられ、選択されたのかという過程についての説明は不十分だった」（パク・インヒ教授）、「1987年の民主化以前と以後に分けて観察するのも、断片的な見方」（張勲教授）という問題意識だ。
本書は、こうした問題意識を基に「民主化の胎動と政治地形の変化」「冷戦解体前後の世界と対北朝鮮外交」「脱冷戦期の高度成長の光と陰」「個人・市民社会の登場と転換された歴史認識」の4部からなり、政治・外交・安全保障・南北問題・経済・社会問題まで広く取り上げている。理念ではなく「世界化」を切り口として振り返る20年は、新たな視点を提供している。
康元沢教授は、1990年の3党合同について「盧泰愚大統領など新主流派が、過去の権威主義体制の負担から抜け出し、民主化された環境に適合した保守政治をつくり出す契機を整えた」と評価した。盧泰愚政権は、冷戦的反共主義から抜け出すことで、北方政策など脱冷戦的国際秩序に積極的に対処することができ、金大中（キム・デジュン）元大統領もまた、地域主義の構図から抜け出すため、連携と統合により理念的進歩性を強化したと分析した。現在の韓国政治の在り方は、3党合同で作り出された基盤を主軸にしているというわけだ。またこの時期から、本格的に韓国社会で個人や市民が登場するようになった点も、研究者らが注目しているテーマだ。
■依然として続く保守・進歩陣営の対立
研究者らは、今回の韓国大統領選挙について「理念対立というよりは、陣営間の総力戦」（張勲教授）であって「長期的には脱理念、あるいは理念の混じり合い現象が生じるだろう」（金皓起教授）との見方を示した。また、基本的な体制の枠組みに対するコンセンサスがあれば、韓国的な保守・進歩間の対立をめぐっても、否定的な見方ばかりにはならない、という意見も出た。「対北朝鮮政策も、太陽政策と厳格な相互主義という温かい政策と冷たい政策との間を行き来することで、学習効果が生まれた」（康元沢教授）という。
■「伝統保守」「伝統進歩」間の交流が必要
